Vice Chairman of the Board
Mr. Morton is the Chairman of the Board of The Brigantine Family of Restaurants, a business he founded with his wife in 1969 that owns and operates the award winning Brigantine Seafood Restaurants, Miguel’s Mexican Cocinas, Zócalo Grill and The Steakhouse at Azul. In addition to his extensive background in the restaurant business, Mr. Morton served as a Director for Peninsula Bank of San Diego and San Diego Trust and Saving Bank.
Mr. Morton is the Vice Chairman of the Bank, Chairman of the Marketing Committee and a member of the Executive Compensation Committee.
Mr. Morton is an active member of the community with current and former board affiliations with the San Diego Restaurant Association, the California Association, San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, San Diego Chamber of Commerce, the Executive’s Association and the San Diego U.S.O. In addition, Mr. Morton also served as President of the San Diego Rotary Club in 1995-1996 and Commodore of the San Diego Yacht Club in 1995.
Mr. Morton is a graduate of San Diego State University where he received his B.A. in Economics.
